Portrait Session Shoot Location Ideas:
Most Examples will be in or near the Longmont area… however, travel to Denver and northern surrounding areas, Boulder, Broomfield, Loveland or Ft. Collins are all possible as well!
Park/Grass/Trees/Lake/Flowers
Examples: Old Mill Park, Thompson Park, The Callahan House, Bohn Park, Golf Course, McIntosh Lake, Golden Ponds
Urban/City/RR Tracks
Examples: Prospect, Pearl Street, Downtown Denver, Downtown Louisville or Longmont, Outdoor Shopping Centers
Mountains/River/Rocks/Bridge
Examples: Bohn Park, Lyons, Meadow Park, Lyons, Allenspark (Travel fee), Chautauqua Park
Rugged Buildings/Old Barn/Bridge/RR Tracks
Examples: Old Sugar Mill Factory, Sandstone Visitor Center, Downtown Louisville
Pumpkin Patch/Bakery or Ice Cream Shop/Christmas Tree Farm
Examples: Anderson Farms, Miller Farms Gigi’s Cupcakes, Any Ice cream shop (you will be responsible for any entrance fees)
Dirt Road/Farm Trees/Field
These locations can be a lot of places. There is a spot that I have used in Firestone, and also one in Berthoud.
Your Home/My Home/Family or Friend’s Home
If you want a home-y feel for your shoot, think of a place that you could see some photo locations at anyone’s home.
** I am always up for trying new locations and searching out for different ideas. These just seem to be the most common. So feel free to give me any suggestions you might have.
